Costume Breakdown workshop day
Service Description
This course will give students a taster of the techniques and skills used by textile artists in the film and TV industry. Including distressing and painitng methods used for costume breakdwon and various dyeing methods for fabrics to achieve specific colours and effects. We will also touch briefly on the use of screen printing to add textures and depth to fabrics. For a more in depth course please book onto our Costume Breakdwon course. About your tutors: Sarah Pasricha has been working in the industry for over 15 years and specilises in dying and printing. She has worked on productions including 1917, Wednesday, Fantastic Beasts and Murder on the Orient Express. Sarah Godwin also has over 15 years experience in the industry, focusing her practice on ageing, breakdown and dyeing. She has worked on many productions including The Crown, Bridgerton, 1917, The Batman and His Dark Materials. Amelia Tinton has worked in the Film & TV industry for the last 3 years, ageing and dyeing costumes and has over 10 years of Print experience. Sian Samuel is a highly experienced dyer and has been working in the Film industry for the last 8 years. She has worked on many productions including The Crown, Bridgerton, 1917, The Batman and His Dark Materials Suitable for beginners. Course length: 1 day Course times: 9am - 4pm Please wear clothes that you dont mind getting dirty Please bring lunch (there are aso lots of cafes near by).
